The Inchstone Project has been made possible by a community committed to and invested in improved measurement as well as the strong funding support by existing partners. Continued success will require expanded support by both existing and new funding partners. Every company working in the DEE space will benefit from active engagement and participation in The Inchstone Project.
The Inchstone Project 2025: Priorities
- Publish analyses: complete a range of analyses and publish results from the DSS-PSS in multiple areas of innovative research including performance of the awareness, vision, and DP-4 tools in order to expand the base of knowledge and learning about expanded COAs.
- Communication with FDA: Establish direct communication lines with FDA through upcoming CPIM and DEE Listening Session.
- Specification and validation plan for COA: Build a model of communication appropriate for primarily non-verbal, severely impaired individuals. Determine noticeable, reliable, and meaningful change within these communication concepts. Identify, modify, and/or develop COA that reflects the abilities of this population and addresses the needs and priorities caregivers expressed.
Sponsorship of The Inchstone Project is an investment in clinical development with promise to improve the success of future DEE trials with reliable assessments capable of capturing benefits not currently measured by existing tools. Inchstone is making rapid progress providing outcome measures that genuinely capture the range of benefits of new treatments.
